Government of Canada Partners With YMCA of Regina to Help Post-Secondary Graduates Gain Career-Related Experience

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2010) - Post-secondary graduates will get an opportunity to enhance and develop their employment skills through a YMCA of Regina project sponsored by the Government of Canada. Mr. Tom Lukiwski, Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Member of Parliament for Regina–Lumsden–Lake Centre, made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development.

Government of Canada Investment

The Government of Canada has decided to provide funding for the Tomorrow's Y's Leaders program in Community Development. The funding comes from the Department of Canadian Heritage, continuing their support of this program which has been running for many years.

This funding supports expenses in a program which helps Aboriginal youth develop leadership ability and grow their potential to become future leaders in their community.
